Tile Making, How we do it

We use 2 simple tools to make our tile, the slab roller and extruder

After forming, the tiles are carved, the edges cleaned and the backs numbered.

They are allowed to dry and then loaded into an electric kiln for bisque firing. The tiles are then glazed one at a time and loaded into our stoneware kiln for the final firing.

As you can see this is a very labor intensive process and the end product is truly a one of a kind piece.
